Dr. Livingston is an American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine Diplomate. He is also a participating member of the International Academy of Sleep. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, and his 2-year-post-doctoral hospital residency from Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Livingston has been treating patients in Live Oak and the surrounding area at his private practice, Toepperwein Dental, since 2002. Dr. Livingston truly has a passion towards helping people live a longer and healthier life; which is evident by his latest achievement.
Dr. Livingston of Rest Resolution, LLC, recently became an American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (ABDSM) Diplomate. ABDSM is the board for the leading national organization for dentists who treat snoring and obstructive sleep apnea with oral appliance therapy. Earning Diplomate status from the ABDSM is a unique honor that recognizes special competency in dental sleep medicine.
Oral Appliance therapy is an effective treatment option that offers a higher rate of patient compliance than CPAP. I work with my patients and their sleep physicians to identify the right oral appliance device, custom fit devices to each patient and make any needed adjustments to ensure an open airway and a more restful sleep. I'm committed to using my knowledge of dental sleep medicine to help treat my patient's snoring and sleep apnea and provide Live Oak residents with a better night's rest.
Dr. Livingston and his wife, Marie, have four beautiful children, Lilly, Lee Ann, Alex and Michael. When Dr. Livingston is not at work or expanding his dental and medical education, he is spending time with his family. His recreation involves anything in the outdoors; from fishing and hunting to hiking and kayaking. He is truly a family man.
